3.23.16 Update

I've really got to get better at sensational titles

Dinos Part II

We've moved away from Ark: Survival Evolved, and into Ark: Survival of the Fittest. SotF is the same base game and mechanics, but turned into a battle-royale. Other games have had similar play modes, but with Ark: SotF being free to play, I see it becoming a big contender. Justin and I have routinely been in the final 2 tribes, and I think with some practice could see more than the one win we've gotten so far. SotF also offers FFA, 4-player, and 6-player tribe modes.

Another on the TODO

I continue to think, sometimes mistakenly, "I could do that". Most recently, I've decided to make my own version of redditp [github]. I can appreciate what they've done, making the images as large as possible, but the transitions are too slow, and the control panel feels underwhelming. Also, the auto-scroller doesn't take into account the length of gifv (edit: it seems to do this now, but didn't at the original time of writing), so you end up skipping part of it early in some cases.

DISNT

A few months ago, I was on the verge of buying something, when I decided to just add it to my wishlist instead. When I returned a few days later, I decided I really didn't want or need the item. Do I Still Need (want) This is a place to put things on the back burner, where you can periodically receive an email asking if you still are interested in the item. I'd like to have camelcamelcamel support, to show price fluctuation along with how long ago you added the item. It might also be neat to record the item's review rating (if it's on a supported site like Amazon, Newegg, ThinkGeek or similar) and show how many more reviews, and whether the rating has gone up or down. Justin has a super basic layout worked up so he could stick it on his portfolio for school, which can be found here

Useless Machine Update

I have the box, the components, and the script. All I have to do now is assemble the main parts, build an arm to reach up and actually touch the switch, and edit the stop points for the script (which should be easy, they're already set as variables because I was thinking ahead).
